Wiers Gives Back
Winning with Wiers extends beyond our best-in-class service centers and our top-notch customer service. We believe in the power of bringing positive, measurable change to not only your business but also the communities in which you operate.
We are happy to report that Wiers donated $50,000 in 2021 to various charitable causes supporting children and young adults. Junior Achievement, Boy Scouts, Boys & Girls Club, underserved children, special education, and high school athletics are some of the organizations that benefited from our giving.
This month, each location had $1,000 available to contribute to a charity of the location’s choosing. All locations were encouraged to pick a local charity, or perhaps two, as a way for Wiers to give back to each community in which we do business! Check out which organizations each location chose:
Mid-Ohio Food Bank – A hub of generosity, providing food for over 140,000 meals a day to help provide for families. The Mid-Ohio Foodbank has the advanced logistics & warehouse to distribute millions of pounds of food — nearly 65% fresh — to our communities.
Vietnam Veterans Association – VVA’s goals are to promote and support the full range of issues important to Vietnam veterans, to create a new identity for this generation of veterans, and to change public perception of Vietnam veterans.
St. Timothy Tornado Relief Efforts
Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital – St. Vincent has been providing compassionate care to children for over 140 years. More than 20 years ago, a group of pediatric specialists began working at St. Vincent with the goal of providing tertiary-level pediatric care in a setting that reflected and advanced the core values of St. Vincent.
La Porte, IN
South Bend YMCA – For more than 100 years, the YMCA of Greater Michiana has been working hard to tackle important needs in our community to benefit thousands of people.
Almost Home Humane Society – Almost Home Humane Society was formed as the Tippecanoe County Humane Association in 1939 and since that time has been dedicated to the care of pets in our community. Today, Almost Home serves more than 3,000 pets each year through its programs.
One Warrior Foundation – One Warrior Foundation is committed to providing encouragement and assistance to our Veteran community. “No man left behind” should be more than a slogan, it should be a way of life.
Louisville Humane Society – The Kentucky Humane Society (KHS), located in Louisville, KY, is a private, nonprofit organization that is Kentucky’s largest pet adoption agency. KHS is also the state’s oldest animal welfare organization, founded in 1884.
Pet Refuge – Pet Refuge’s mission is to protect the health, welfare and provide the best possible placement for every animal placed in the care of our organization
Dustin’s Place – The mission of Dustin’s Place is to provide support in a safe place where grieving children, teens, and their families can find connection and healing through sharing their experience of the death of a loved one throughout their healing process. Dustin’s Place believes that no child or family should grieve the death of a loved one alone.
All of this is made possible by the support of our valued customers. Thank you for an amazing year and we look forward to serving you in 2022!
